It is unfortunate that most of us have no understanding of the importance of making a WILL . They keep pending or simply ignore. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT The wife is not the only Natural Heir of the person, after the death of the officer all his properties will be distributed equally among his wife and children.  It is equally valid in case of the wife as well. The Indian succession Act a copy of which is available on this site is very clear on this distribution to all the legal heirs. The big question here is whether you will not like to leave your wife as MASTER and absolute owner of all your assets or leave her to share your assets with children thereby denying her the right of being an independent QUEEN in her remaining life, rather than being partly or wholly dependent on children.

 HOW TO CHECK THE CURRENT STATUS OF YOUR NA MEDICINE CLAIMS USING YOUR PHONE , TAB OR PHONE

It is more than frequesmt now that we have to purchase medicine that are not available in ECHS policlinics after the prescription with NA printed against the medicines not issued. this is your authorityn to purchase medicines from a pharmacy which has a GST Number,

After the purchase is done you should be getting a proper printed INVOICE of the pharmacy mentioning the medicines , qty and cost individual and total. The invoice shoud be signed by the pharmacy and stamped.

**HOW IT IMPACTS OUR TAX SAVING INVESTMENTS**

Under the New REGIME revised tax slabs were announced so as to make the NEW REGIME more popular and lesser taxing than the OLD REGIME which stands unchanged for the last many years. This REGIME is applicable for the currrent ITR Filing by 31 Jul 2024 and is the default REGIME as such if one wishes to take Old Regime one needs to select the option while editing your ITR while filing irrespective of the option exercised earlier on SPARSH for the deduction of TDS.

There being thus two options for us for Income Tax Filing.  Which one should we select is the main question in our mind. Our team has researched to resolve this complexity and have found that there can

1.  There have been Many queries from our readers on as to how to work out relief on Arrears of OROP-2 which has jumped up the Taxable income for the Financial Year 2023-24., which had been received during the year and also what we should do before filing the current ITR before 31st of Jul 2024

3.  The installments of OROP-2 or portion of it that falls under the FY 2023-24 has added to your income thereby enhancing the amount of Income Tax that will be assessed that becomes due accordingly 

OROP-2 ARREARS = CALCULATION TOOL

1.  The RBI had  mentioned earlier that  “CBDC is the legal tender issued by a central bank in a digital form. It is the same as a fiat currency and is exchangeable one-to-one with the fiat currency. 1.  As you know PCDA(P) has upgraded their system and are no more issuing the paper PPOs. The system has been activated by them along with CPPCs of the Pension Paying Banks to issue E-PPOs incl the Pensioners. You can now get your 7 CPC latest Corrg PPO in the comfort of your home after registering with MP 5&6 web site called RODRA . It is a very simple process which is being outlined in this post to guide you to go through the steps to register, log in and downloading  your E-PPO. 
2. E-PPO has now become essential document to get ECHS 64 kb card. In all future correspondence with PCDA (Pensions) Allahabad or PCDA (O) Pune, you need to quote your E-PPO No. You can also call PCDA (Pensions) Allahabad and find out your E-PPO No and Notional pay as on Jan 2016.

DIRECTORATE OF INDIAN ARMY VETERANS (DIAV)

1.         R&W Section(Corpus)/DIAV provides education grant to the wards of soldiers who die in harness.  It  also includes suicide cases and there is no bar on number of children.  Education grant is presently available for the academic year 2017-18.  Last date of submission of documents is   30 Nov 2018.  Application forms can be sent directly to R&W Section, and there is  no requirement of authentication from  Zila Sainik Board.  Details of welfare schemes/grants are as under :-

 In the eventuality of the death of a TAX PAYER his/her last return is required to be filed by the legal heir after getting him/her self registered on the Income Tax Efiling site. The responsibility of payment of tax rests with the legal heir. There have been cases where the IT Dept has raised demand after three to four years from the Family pensioner.    It is therefore necessary to file his/her last return. The method is not complicated and is described below in the succeeding paragraphs.

ASSURED DECENT LAST RITES SCHEME (ADLRS)

      In order to ensure that the Army Veterans get a decent funeral on death, the services HQs have made a special provision to release some funds from the canteen profits of the Canteen where the veteran had been attached. The necessary instructions have been passed to all Station Canteens on these provisions. The families are advised to contact their CSD(I) Canteens from where their cards have been issued.

Give your IC No to the JCO, he will immediately check your details on his computer and verify with you and your current postal address will be updated by him in his data base. They will send a letter by post at your updated postal address to obtain your bank details for sending you the cheque once your turn comes up.
